Hello SCT friends! I hope you are enjoying interNational Scrapbooking Day, SCT style! A full day of inspiration! I wanted to add to the fun with a layout that I've created, inspired by a layout in the Fall 2016 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today titled Book Club by Marcia Dehn-Nix. I loved the large building element to her page, assuming it's a library; it really drove the message of the layout home.
My page revolves around a desert vacation so I wanted a large element depicting that.
TIP: I used a large cactus cut file and created the page around that element, keeping the colour choices bright and patterns fun! Adding a bit of faux stitching also frames the layout perfectly. Thank you Marcia Dehn-Nix for the inspiration!

Echo Park is one of my favorite brands ever. I need to put on my thinking cap for using a large element in a layout soon. The large element makes a big statement.
