It's Day FOUR of our 10th birthday celebration and today we have design team members Virginia Nebel and Emily Pitts joining us with some party decoration ideas! And of course be sure to read all the way to the bottom for today's fun "loot bag" and the "cupcake challenge" reveal!

"Hello SCT friends, Virginia here!  Hope you are loving our Birthday celebration, nothing says p-a-r-t-y than some fun photo props to get you into the full swing of celebration! Check out this amazing free printable HERE

Just print out the images onto white cardstock and trim with scissors or you can convert the images into cutting files if you own a digital craft cutter. I glued the fun images onto cake pop sticks and voila instant photo props!  To keep the props organized,  I glued some floral foam inside a coffee can and covered it with tinsel.

This way the photo props stand out on their own and are easily accessible for that fun click and smile moment!

"Hello dear SCT friends, it's Emily! I was asked to provide the piñatas for the party, and thanks to We R Memory Keepers, that was super easy. Three mini piñatas, bases already put together, are simple to cover with fringed tissue paper. The best part? The fringed tissue paper is already sticky on one side, just pull the strip off the adhesive and apply!

I learned a few tricks I'd thought I'd share with you:

  • Trim the rough edges of the fringe once you finish a whole side, it takes less time.
  • You don't have to glue the fringes down, but if it bugs you, go ahead.
  • Each piece along the sides of the ice cream portion was 8 fringes wide, precutting them makes for a much quicker application.
  • If you want to add some chocolate sauce, trace a half circle (using the un-fringed cone) on brown cardstock, then cut some drips.
  • Adding chocolate allows you to cover up the top edge, which I found helpful.
  • Don't add the pull tag until the end, it kept getting in the way.
  • Fill after your piñata is complete.

These little guys were so fun to put together, and I think they'll make the Scrapbook and Cards Today 10th Birthday celebration quite festive, don't you?!?!

Thanks for joining the celebration, we wouldn't be 10 without YOU!" ~ Emily Pitts
