……………………………..

Hey everyone! Happy holidays! It’s Paige Evans here today with a new festive layout created for the 12 Days of Holiday Giving with our newest FREE cut file! First, let’s take a look at the cut file that I created just for you:

Now, take a look at the layout I created with it:

Who says Bungalow Lane can only be used for autumnal layouts? Not me! When it comes to scrapping for the holidays, it’s all about picking and choosing colors and Bungalow Lane has a plethora of them, including Christmas colors. I am a big fan of red and green, plus pink, yellow, blue, orange… pretty much ALL the colors, ALWAYS!

I started by die cutting my All is Bright cut file from white cardstock. Then I went through all of the Bungalow Lane 12 x 12 inch papers and pulled mostly solid/single colored bright papers. I also dipped into the patterns 2 x 2 inch Paper Pad.

From there I backed the cut file with the tracing/fussy cutting/gluing method which took about a half-hour since this is a pretty simplistic cut file as far as cut files go—meaning there were only 11 sans-serif letters and 21 lightbulbs, all the same shape, so the backing process went fairly quickly, all things considering. I chose a darker background to help the cut file pop off the page and also literally popped it off the page with foam squares adhesive for depth and shadows.

Next, I covered the cut file with a paper towel and splashed white acrylic paint around the page to mimic a snow-falling feel. I added two 3 x 4-inch photos over the bottom right side of the cut file and then embellished minimally with cardstock stickers, chipboard stickers, embossed puffy stickers, and ephemera die cuts, all from Bungalow Lane. To finish, I added Thickers to say “ALL IS CALM” above the “ALL IS BRIGHT” title to complete the phrase and then journaled with a blue pen on a die-cut peeking out from the photo edge.

I hope this layout inspires you to grab my All is Bright cut file and then use Bungalow Lane to document your holiday layouts, because YES—you absolutely can use a fall-themed collection for Christmas projects by pulling the colors to match your theme! Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!
