Hello, SCT friends! It’s Erica here with you today sharing a fun and colorful holiday mini-album for the 12 Days of Holiday Giving event here at Scrapbook and Cards Today!
Supplies | Bella Blvd North Pole collection paper pack & embellishment bundle; Tools: We R Memory Keepers Cinch
To create this album, I used the fun and festive North Pole collection from Bella Blvd. This collection is great for use outside of the holidays because it also includes a lot of fun winter elements! Mini albums are one of my favorite things to create and I love to use my We R Memory Keepers Cinch to bind my albums.
There are many ways to bind your mini albums, but the Cinch makes it super easy and they have a variety of different colored wires to pick from! Mini albums make the perfect little handmade gift for anyone! You can make them in many different shapes and sizes, and they are a great way to use up your stash!
I sized my album to 8.50 x 5 inches and included smaller pockets and interactive pages within the inside of the album. For the cover, I used the beautiful Snowstorm printed acetate sheet from the North Pole collection. This adds a fun texture and see-through element right at the start of the album. I created a small embellishment cluster in the bottom right corner of the cover using die cuts, puffy stickers, and chipboard from the North Pole collection. I used one of my favorite papers from the collection paper pack to peek through the acetate and added the “merry” title piece from the North Pole ephemera pack.
Using glassine bags in your albums as pages adds another texture and pocket to hold photos and memorabilia! Just punch holes in the side of the bag with the Cinch and add it to the album!
I love adding pages where I can tuck in festive tags and top with fun trims! You can use tags to add more photos or your journaling, too.
For some of the pages, I created top pockets and other pages have side pockets where you can tuck even more photos and memorabilia from your holiday adventures! In my album, I created a few tags for the top pockets and pull-out photo mats for the side-loading pockets.
You can create the album and fill it with photos for yourself or leave open photo mats to gift this album to someone special! Albums like this are always a fun, handmade gift to give. I left my pages open because this chunky holiday album is getting wrapped up with some extra tags and adhesive and getting tucked under the tree for one of my friends!
If you are looking for a sweet handmade gift to create, try creating a mini album! These work great not just for the holidays but for any occasion! Thanks so much for stopping by the SCT blog today and I hope you all have a great December!
