12 Days of Holiday Giving – Day 7!

It’s Friday, Day 7 of our annual 12 Days of Holiday Giving event and today we have something special for you! If you are just joining us for the first time from Heidi Swapp’s blog or heard about our great event, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here and hope you’ll enjoy our holiday event! Each day our team is here to share holiday inspired projects and our amazing partners are also here to share a beautiful prize package each day. “Hello SCT fans! It’s Lisa Dickinson here and I’m so excited to be here for the 12 Days of Giving because there’s no better place for holiday project inspiration (and lots of great prizes too!) Today I’m sharing a favorite layout documenting one of my favorite family traditions – going to the Nutcracker Ballet!

I created this page with the Crate Paper collection, Merry Days. It’s such a gorgeous mix of colors and patterns with Christmas-themed touches, but could definitely be used beyond the holidays as well. For my layout, I selected the predominately pink and red elements for the collection, since the theme of the page was our girls’ tradition. The ephemera pack is full of so many cute shapes, tags and banners that it was hard to narrow it down!

I used the various ephemera to create a free-form matte for my photo. I also layered in snowflake diecuts (these are exclusive kit cut files in the SCT Delivered kit, Winter Wonderland!) as well as chipboard and other accents. The touches of gold in the chipboard and stickers lend a festive feeling and help dress up the page!
