Hey Friends! Vicki here with a little “Day 8” fun!! This time of the year I love to “make” for the pure joy of creating. I gather up all of the supplies and fancy bits I've been hoarding, I mean collecting, sit down with a Christmas movie and play. It feels so good to just be creative for the pleasure of it.
This time around I used items I had purchased from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology line, some fabulous foiled cardstock patterns, stamps and dies and a cheap holiday ornament. Take a look…
This fun little holiday scene is housed in an Idea-ology Vignette Box. It is sweet and little at 7 1/4” high x 4 1/2” wide. I didn’t alter or paint the actual box as it was perfect as is. I added the “joy” to a wood spool and I found the little nutcracker for cheap, cheap. He fit perfectly at 4” tall!
The inside of the box is lined with red foiled cardstock and I added the wreath with a few pearls to the nutcracker. The “icicles” are from the Frozen- Christmas Alpha Parts. I just added a bit of Stickles for sparkle. Here is a closer look…
The “greenery” is made up of Sizzix Alterations- Holiday Greens Thinlits and Hero Arts “Happy Holidays” stamps and Frame Cuts. I added some paint and more Stickles and the berries are from a dollar store floral stick.
I love Word Bands and Doodlebug Design Chunky Twine!!! Here I added a light coating of Picket Fence Distress Paint and then rubbed some of it off to highlight the words. Kiss Archival ink to the metal and let it dry. The base “snow” is Ranger’s Texture Paste!!
