It’s day three of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving Event, and it wouldn’t be Christmas without treats, right? Today, design team member Mindy Eggen is sharing the cutest box packages that we know you will be dreaming of filling with sweets, gift cards, and more! Let’s see what Mindy is inspiring us to create today!

…………………………..

Welcome crafty friends! This is Mindy Eggen here with you today to share some gift packaging inspiration! Getting gifts is great but getting them in beautiful, handmade packaging is even better! It’s a gift all in itself.

Lawn Fawn has some amazing packaging dies that can be used not only for Christmas but all year round as well. And why not create a matching card to go with the package?

One of my favorite packages is the gift box. You can add treats to it or create a matching set of notecards to put inside. I thought a package of hot cocoa mix would be perfect. Drinking hot cocoa on a cold winter day is one of my best memories about Christmas time.

To really get into the Christmas spirit, I created the gift box from Chili Pepper cardstock and added a decorative piece of patterned paper on top with the Let It Shine paper pad.

I also added a simple wreath to the front of the box using the Large Wreath die from Lawn Fawn. You can customize how full you like your wreath and I like mine nice and bushy! It also comes with a die to create a bow which you can cut from regular cardstock or glitter cardstock to really make it sparkle.

To keep the front simple, I added a sentiment to the front that I heat embossed in white onto Mermaid cardstock using the Winter Wavy Sayings. I absolutely love this color combination!

I fell in love with this design and color scheme so much I created a matching card. I am still using Chili Pepper cardstock and the Let It Shine paper pad but this time, I added a Stitched Scallop Rectangle Frame

Have you seen the new paper piecing die series from Lawn Fawn? They are so adorable! This is the Jolly Christmas Tree which you can customize with colored cardstock, pattern paper, or glitter cardstock.

The simplest of gifts are sometimes the most touching. We tend to overthink things (I know I do!) but all we are doing is causing ourselves more stress. Some pretty packaging and handmade gifts are sometimes the most treasured. I hope you enjoyed today’s handmade gift packaging idea! May this season bring joy to you and your family!
