10:00 am – Inspiration from Cathy, Susan and Stacy

Hello friends! Anya here today and I would like to share a card I created for a friend. I love fall colors and products, but I feel like they are not used enough, and for that reason, I decided to make a “Hello friend” card using fall products. Plus, bright yellow colors should bring anyone’s spirit up!

Cardstock: Carta Bella; Patterned paper: Echo Park, DCVW; Dies: My Favorite Things, Echo Park

For the base of my card I used a beautiful quilt die by My Favorite Things and glued all the pieces back together on a piece of white cardstock, leaving a thin white border around. On top of the quilted background I created a wreath, using leaves dies by My Favorite Things and Echo Park Paper. This whole piece was then added to the card base with pop dots, to which I previously added a polka dot paper and a yellow bow.

For my sentiment I used a stamp by Close to my Heart, which was stamped on a die cut banner. To bring the whole card together, I added a bunch of colorful enamel dots and sprinkled some tiny white dots of Nuvo Drops.

Thanks for joining me today and hope you’ll give fall products more life by creating a simple card to cheer up one of your friends or family members!

………………..

Thank you so very much for joining us today, Paige here with a sweet Thank You card I’ve created.

To create this card, trim a piece of smooth white cardstock to 8 x 4″ then fold it in half to make the card base. Machine stitch all across the front using white thread in a sunburst design to create lots of texture.

Punch (20) 3/4″ squares from a rainbow of patterned papers then trim them all in half diagonally to create triangles. Find the centre of the card base, 2″ in and 2″ down, then use the middle as a starting place for adhering the triangles into a quilt heart shape.

Use foam squares to adhere the triangles for lots of dimension. Type a sentiment on a typewriter, trim it down, then adhere it across the front to finish!

Thank you, Anya and Paige, for creating such sweet cards!
