SCT Magazine - 2020 Design Team

Good morning SCT friends!

We were so excited to announce our new 2020 Creative Team yesterday and we loved all your sweet and supportive comments through all our social channels. They each feel so welcomed and ready to share their very best with you in 2020. Thank you!

For the rest of this week, we want to give you a chance to get to know them better so today, let’s get to know Wendy Sue Anderson, Meghann Andrew, and Nathalie DeSousa! We recently asked them several questions and below you’ll learn a little bit more about them along with the answer to one of the questions. You can see more of their fun answers by clicking the link under their pictures.

Wendy Sue Anderson

I am so excited to be a part of the amazing team here at Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine! I live in a beautiful mountain valley in Utah with my incredible husband, Brad and our two teenage boys.  We also have two adult kiddos who have spread their wings and left the nest recently.  Growing up, my mother always had some kind of craft project for us to work on together; oftentimes they were paper-crafting projects (I think I probably designed more cards than Hallmark during my childhood).  I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in accounting, and although that’s my “day job,” I think I’d much rather use paper for creating fun projects than for recording and calculating numbers! I have been fortunate to work with some of my very favorite manufacturers over the years, and I am so grateful for each and every opportunity I’ve been given. I am passionate about journaling and recording my thoughts and feelings as well as the “who, what, when, and where.”  This hobby has definitely helped me focus on the most important aspects of my life – namely family – and I’ll forever be grateful for the lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met, and wonderful opportunities that have come my way through this amazing industry.

Where is the first place you look for inspiration?

I honestly look for inspiration everywhere… and usually, I find it when I’m not even really looking for it… just walking through stores or flipping through magazines. I also regularly peruse Instagram and Pinterest and I have a few favorite blogs I like to visit. I follow so many talented people and companies and love to be inspired by them!

Meghann Andrew

Meghann Andrew is a wife, mother, and 30-something living outside of Houston, Texas. She loves to workout and get creative, not only with pretty paper and embellishment but in the kitchen, too. She loves traveling everywhere with her family, but the mountains are her happy place. Meghann also serves as the Elle’s Studio design team coordinator, a member of the We R Memory Keepers 2020 design team and an educator at select Crop & Create events.

At which store would you like to max out your credit card?

I would probably max out my credit card at a home store, like Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel or Home Goods. I love browsing for new pieces for our home, and since my background is in interior design, it’s kind of my “thing.”

Nathalie DeSousa
Nathalie is a stay-at-home wife and mom to two teenagers and their Boston Terrier baby from Toronto, Canada.  She has been enamored with paper since the day her mom gave her a set of pens and colored paper pad to play with at a very young age.   She has kept a detailed journal throughout her life and started transforming her memories from words to a more visual format just a couple years ago.  She describes her style as always evolving and loves to combine black and white photography with color, mixed media, texture and words.  When she is not working on a new entry for her scrapbooks, you can find her out for a walk with her camera in hand, reading a book, out with friends, or enjoying a good book, black coffee, and dark chocolate -in no particular order.
What is your go-to, must have tool?

Hands down my Silhouette Cameo, and Adobe Lightroom ( my love for photography was amplified when I discovered this app).

Thank you Wendy, Meghann and Nathalie for joining our 2020 Creative Team! We are all excited to see what you create this year!
