Hello friends, it’s Mari Clarke here with a card making project for you! I wanted to make something bright and cheerful, so I chose some of my favorite colors and products to create with!

Supplies | Spellbinders: Peony Celebration Etched Dies, Peony Background Press Plate, Peacock Motif 3D Embossing Folder, Hello/Smile Etched Dies; Tangerine Essentials Color Cardstock, Gold Smooth Discs, Porcelain Cotton BetterPress paper, Splatter White Opaque Watercolor, Yasumoto Pale Gold Watercolor, BetterPress Letterpress System, Platinum 6 Machine; Ranger: Archival Ink Funky Fuchsia & Squeezed Orange; Gina K. Designs: Master Layouts 2, Heavy White Cardstock; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares; Therm O Web: Ultra Bond Adhesive
The Spellbinders Peony Background Press Plate is so beautiful! After placing the plate on the BetterPress Chase, I inked the plate with both Archival Funky Fuchsia and Tangerine inks; this color combo is a favorite! Pink and orange are such happy colors! I overlapped the colors on the plate so that they would blend. I placed the Spellbinders cotton paper on the platen (secured with tape), and placed it over the press plate on the chase. Using my Spellbinders Platinum 6, I ran the BetterPress through to create the gorgeous pressed background. I used the Gina K Master Layouts 2 stitched rectangle die to die cut the background for my card front. I used the Gina K Master Layouts 2 shadow layer die to cut Spellbinders Tangerine cardstock for the mat behind the background piece. I adhered the pressed background card front piece onto the cardstock mat.

I die cut the Peony Celebration shadow layer die from Spellbinders Tangerine cardstock. I put that die cut piece into the Peacock Motif 3D embossing folder and embossed it. I die cut the Peony Celebration outline die from white cardstock. I adhered the white outline to the embossed shadow layer. I adhered the piece onto the side of my card front and trimmed off the excess, allowing for a nice detail for the card front.

I die cut the Spellbinders ‘Hello’ greeting from the Tangerine cardstock. I die cut the shadow layer three times from white cardstock. I adhered the white layers together to create a dimensional base for the letters. I adhered the Hello letters onto the shadow layer. To finish the card, I glued (centered) the card front to a white A2 top folding card base. I splattered the card front with Spellbinders White Splatter and Yasumoto Pale Gold Watercolor. I added the greeting with foam adhesive squares and then added some gold discs.
I love the BetterPress system from Spellbinders! It is so easy to create beautiful results with all of the amazing plates available. I hope you enjoyed my post today and are inspired to create some bright and cheerful cards!
Have a wonderful day!

I love seeing all the projects and product because we do not have any scrap stores. (Louisiana) I have purchased some beautiful supplies and learned of different companies from SCT.
Beautiful card! I’ve been intimidated to learn about the BetterPress but you make it sound pretty easy to work with.
