Hello SCT friends! It’s Meghann Andrew with you today, sharing the space where I work and play with pretty paper! I have been working hard at re-organizing my space for the way I work, and I wanted to share a few ways that I set up my space to be able to get right to business when I have a moment to create!
When you come into my office, my Ikea Expedit is on your left and holds the majority of the product that I use to create with. I placed the most-used items on the top two rows, including paper collections, organized with Totally Tiffany’s Scrapmasters and Collection Keepers, alphabet stickers, pocket page cards organized by colour, scraps of patterned paper and cardstock, my SCT Samplers and kits, and bins of random embellishments, enamel dots, and sticker sheets.
The other items on the bottom two shelves are things that I do not pick up as often: card kits, retired stamp sets, pocket page and scrapbook layout kits, mini album supplies, class binders and my vinyl and iron on transfer rolls, all perfectly organized with the Totally Tiffany Vinyl Roll organizer set.
This shelving unit is the best storage piece in my office and I love having most of the things I create with right in front of me!
My two carts are my mobile storage pieces that I organize my team supplies with. I have an Elle’s Studio cart that contains all of the in-stock stamps, stickers and paper stacks on the top, organized in Ikea bins with the Stick n Store stamp storage system from The Stamp Market. I love those colorful dividers!
My We R Memory Keepers A La Cart holds all of my smaller We R tools, like my new Foil Quill and Precision Press. I love the A La Cart accessories kit that allows me to store things on the outside of the cart, too!
Right next to my Expedit shelving unit is my standing desk, the place where I create. I always have my tripod set up and ready to film, and I have my most-used tools and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Runner Grand right at my fingertips in that galvanized bin. At the end of my desk, I keep my newest Close to My Heart Exclusive Inks stored in the Workspace Wonder system, and I just love it!
On the other side of the room is my working desk, where I edit photos, do my coordination work for blogs and design teams, and plan my life! My printers and Silhouette machine are within easy reach from my computer so that I am ready to plug in at any time. I also have my old Making Memories wall shelving unit that holds my older inks, acrylic paint, embossing powders and other supplies, all organized by rainbow order.
My closet has had a huge cleanout and is a great place for storing all of the things I use occasionally, like art mediums and paint, glitter, letter board supplies, and party decor supplies. On the back of the doors, I have added a dowel rack unit for holding all of my twine and ribbon spools on one side, and an inexpensive shoe rack on the other to store my punches.
If you would like to see a video tour of my space, check out this video on my YouTube feed! I’ll walk you through what you have seen in these photos and much more so that you can get a closer look at how I have organized everything. I love my creative space, and I hope this tour gave you some ideas for how you can re-organize your space, no matter how big or small, for the way that you work! Happy creating!
One of my very favorite things to do is seeing other’s craft rooms/areas, I almost always leave with an idea or two to use in my own evolving area. TFS, I will be following the link to watch her tour on You Tube too!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I’m in the midst of doing a grand clean out in my craft/office area. Yours looks great, it seems the more I organize, the worse mine looks while I’m in the process.
Loved seeing your space. It’s always great to see how others store items and organize their craft space. Sometimes I find myself spending a lot of time just looking for items I want to use. Having things close at hand that are used often is key for me too. Thanks for sharing!
Love your space. And I love your grandmother’s sewing table just the way it is. SCT I never get enough of these posts, you should have it once a month with your design team.
I just reorganized my craft space and I love having everything I use close at hand and supplies together but that shoe organizer gives me an idea..punch storage was my nemesis during the re-org
I love reading/watching craftroom tour! Always so nice to see what people do with their space and Meghann space is awesome!
I just love seeing how other crafters organize their spaces. I always get such good ideas! thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your space with us! Always enjoy seeing how others organize their spaces.
I think I saw a clip it up on a shelf. What do you put on it?
Thank you for sharing Meghann. I love see other people’s craft rooms. It gives me ideas for my own. ❤️
Loved it! Thanks for sharing Meghann!! I love the idea of kits being kept together in the Totally Tiffany storage system!
