Today Adhesive Week continues with creative team member Mindy Eggen! If you’ve ever created a project that needed extra hold or transparent adhering, Mindy is sharing what worked for her from our friends at Therm O Web, and a sweet treat bag to go along with her tips! Let’s take a look at what Mindy created!

Welcome everyone to Adhesive Week here on the SCT blog! Today I’m featuring how I created an adorable little treat box using products from Therm O Web. Not only do they have amazing products, but I was fortunate enough to meet some of the Therm O Web team and they are the sweetest bunch!
I’m a big lover of treat boxes. My daughter and I used to make them all the time for her classmates and teachers. One of my favorite treat box dies is the Tote Bag from Lawn Fawn. It is great for putting treats and small notes in.
Supplies | Adhesive: Therm O Web; Dies, cardstock, vellum: Lawn Fawn;
Our temperatures picked up a little, and the sun is shining, which put me in a spring mood! I created my Tote Bag from Guava cardstock, and added a bit of grass to the bottom to make a scene using the Grassy Borders. Nothing finishes off a scene better than clouds from the Simply Puffy Cloud Frames.
I used the Therm O Web iCraft Tape Runner XL on my tabs to hold my box together. I love how easy it is to use this tape runner with its pivoting head, and that it provides a strong, permanent hold.
You can’t have a spring project without butterflies, so I pulled out my Layered Butterfly die from Lawn Fawn. I cut the first layer from Holographic cardstock and the base from Pearlescent Vellum. It can be tricky adhering images to vellum, but the iCraft Mixed Media Multi Purpose Adhesive came through for me! It’s super strong and you can’t see any of the glue on the vellum.
Now I have a fantastic little treat tote that I can fill with goodies which I know will hold up because I used such great adhesive from Therm O Web!
If you haven’t used Therm O Web adhesives on your crafty projects you are missing out!
