Supplies | Patterned paper, stickers, die cuts: Jingle Joy collection from Close to My Heart; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Cut file: SCT Magazine; Other: ribbon

To start, head on over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website. Then at the top of the page click on Magazine, scroll down, and then click on Free Cut Files & Printables. There is where you will find the CTMH envelope cut file that I used for this project.

Once you click on the cut file image of your choice, it will download the images in many different files. I have a Silhouette Cameo 4, and after downloading the cut file, I opened Silhouette Studio. Once you see the grid, open up your cut file, and depending on your project, you have the option to resize the image.

After I cut the envelope from patterned paper using the new Jingle Joy collection from Close to My Heart, I carefully removed it from the cutting mat. Using a scoring board, I scored the side and ends of the envelope. Once I added adhesive to the bottom and sides of the envelope, I sealed the edges. To finish off this simple project, I embellished the envelope using the Jingle Joy sticker sheet and the Jingle Joy die cuts, adding the “jingle bells” tag using pink, satin ribbon.

I cannot wait to use up my holiday patterned paper to create more of these envelopes. With the versatility of resizing the cut file, I can make them as large or as small as needed! Download this freebie today to create your own embellished envelope, too, then share it with us by tagging us on Facebook and Instagram, and using the hashtag #sctmagazine. We love to see what our readers are creating!
