In this issue I shared my photo tip to use black and white photos on a Christmas layout. My initial thought about converting colour photos to black/white would be that I would lose the ‘real-life’ capture moment of the photo. I’ve changed my mind having scrapped a few pages with black/white photos. I love the contrast of the photos with the colourful patterns of papers and embellishments in the background. I also like to crop the photos close to capture facial expressions that are so special.

B & W pix really are so dramatic with ANY COLOR!!!

I absolutely love B&W photos. Most times, I like them better than color photos. Your layout is fabulous.
I black-and-white my family when they wear inappropriate colors. My family loves to wear, say, red for Easter and turquoise for Thanksgiving. Some people!
I also do the opposite. When I have beautiful color photos of, say, flowers or something, then I use color photographs, but use black-and-white papers and embellishments. Works both ways.
