Hi there!  It is feeling like Spring here in the high desert of Southern Nevada and it’s one of my most favorite times to stamp…birds, butterflies, flowers, etc.

I’ve combined some beautiful products from Stampin’ Up! and Spellbinders today to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful time of year.

This first card uses Tiara Rondelle 3D Vignettes die from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken.  This lovely die forms the frame that creates my focal point.  Inside my frame, I’ve used images and a sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  This stamp set coordinates with the Petals & More Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up!  I just love the delicate details of this die collection.

Next, my Hello Spring card uses the very same stamp sets and dies as the first card, except for my sentiment.  I choose to use a sentiment from the Hello Easter stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  It fit perfectly with the theme of my card.

The watercolor look continues to be so popular and I wanted to use it as I created my cards.  The Petal Palette stamp set lends itself very easily to this technique.  After stamping my images on watercolor cardstock, I added a bit of color to the white spaces using my water brush and ink.  I love the soft, ethereal look created!

In the background, I selected another beautiful frame from Spellbinders, this time using the Shapeabilities Eau de Lavande Label Etched Die.  I added ink to it as well, after cutting it from white cardstock.  I used Tim Holtz blending tools and ink pads in coordinating colors to lightly sponge ink over my die cut.  I love how this technique also adds to the watercolor effect.

I hope wherever you are, it feels a bit like spring and that you’ll be inspired to create!

Thank you for visiting!
