Card Cafe Thursday with Taylored Expressions!

Good morning and welcome to Card Cafe Thursday!  Today, our friends at Taylored Expressions are joining us to share some of their new cutting plates and of course, some great inspiration!

Taylor VanBruggen (Party Banner Cutting Plate):

A note from Taylor:  I love to create bright, colorful cards so I chose to piece each pennant with polka dot vellum in the colors of the rainbow. When the entire piece is placed over the cloudy backdrop it creates quite a cheerful card!

Wanda Guess (In-Flight Cutting Plate):

A note from Wanda:  This card was made with the unique In Flight Cutting plate which features pop up butterflies flying across the page. I combined it with one of our TE heart dies in white for an elegant and clean look. I added some sequins to make the card have a little sparkle and shine too. This card would be nice for any occasion and carries a good message to “dream” big!

Courtney Kelley (Shade Tree Cutting Plate):

A note from Courtney:  The Shade Tree Cutting Plate was used to create the focal point of my card. After cutting the Shade Tree from patterned paper, and a few times from pink cardstock, I trimmed a bit off of each side and the top so that the tree would fit onto a 4"x5" card base. Next I layered all the die cuts, with the patterned paper die cut on top, and assembled the Shade Tree scene.

Jen Shults (Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate):

A note from Jen:  I really love using the Ray of Sunshine cutting plate and have been wanting to experiment with it and a bit of water coloring. I decided to create a sunset on watercolor paper using distress markers and a water mister and die cut it with the Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate. I then decided to create a silhouette scene using the Build a Scene Rolling Hills dies and Windy Tree die.

Shelly Mercado (Quatrefoil Cutting Plate):

A note from Shelly:  I love how this Quatrefoil Cutting Plate is so versatile.  I've used this cutting plate for fall and winter cards, and now, for my spring and summer florals. To make the Quatrefoil die cut pop, change the color of the background and have some fun with it.

Stephanie Kraft (Scribbles Cutting Plate):

A note from Stephanie:  I started by cutting the Scribbles Cutting Plate out of white cardstock and stitched it onto kraft cardstock. Next, I stamped my favorite sentiment from Wherever You Go onto a Label Stacklets 6 and popped up a couple of hummingbird silhouettes (stamped and cut with the coordinating Hovering By dies) on either side of the sentiment. I finished my card off simply by adding a cork heart embellishment.

 . . . . . . .

Thank you ladies for the fabulous inspiration and for joining us on Card Cafe Thursday!  Love those cutting plates!  If you love those cutting plates friends, you *may* just want to join us tomorrow  ;)

Have a wonderful Thursday!

~  Catherine
