Cathy Zielske’s brand new FIT class GIVEAWAY!

Cathy Zielske’s brand new FIT class GIVEAWAY!

Good morning SCT friends! We've hope you've been having a great week and enjoy some holiday spirit! As the new year approaches we are excited to see this brand new class from our Art Director and designer Cathy Zielske call FIT. Perfect timing one might say!

"Fit is a year-long workshop designed to keep you inspired and accountable in the arena of self-care. For 12 months, we’ll be documenting and connecting to stuff that makes this process work well, as well as the stuff that can get in the way of success. With a 6 x 8 scrapbook to house our stories, we’ll track our progress throughout the year, together.

This is not a workout class. This is a not a nutrition class. This is a class designed to help you connect to what is needed in your life to make real and lasting changes. What are the best ways you can exercise? What are the foods that your body needs? How can you make this process even more personal? These aren’t always easy questions to answer. I speak from years of experience. But I’d like to invite you to join me in 2016 for a year of focusing on you, and working to do better." ~ Cathy Zielske

We are thrilled today to offer this class to two lucky readers! Share one of your goal with us for 2016 in the comment section below by January 7th and on January 8th we'll announce the two winners! Good luck!

As the year draws to a close we want to take a moment to wish all our readers a very Happy New Year. We also want to thank you for helping us to create our most successful year ever!  With readers in 120 countries around the globe we love and appreciate all your kind comments, emails and support! We will take the next year to celebrate our 10th birthday and we hope you’ll join us all year long for fun challenges, surprises, prizes and more!

From our SCT home to your home, may all your dreams from the last year turn into achievements during this New Year! Wishing you health, happiness and peace in 2016.

~ Catherine and the SCT team

My main goal for 2016 is to rid my life of the negative nellies who feel that it is ok to be disrespectful to me unless I am doing something for them.

  2. Karen S December 31, 2015 at 10:06 am

  8. Sandy K. December 31, 2015 at 10:58 am

What would one goal be for 2016? I think that any goals I have are all built on one premise…..if I don’t start to focus more on my physical and emotional needs, then it will become more and more difficult to be there for those for whom I have been and must to continue to be. Emergency instructions on a plane say that one must put on their own oxygen mask first before helping others. As women, our instinct is to help others first. In an effort to accomplish my goals which include exercise, attention to diet, taking time to breathe, letting go of emotional baggage, and decluttering to get rid of those things that bog me down. It is relatively easy to begin the process but it is extremely difficult to maintain the motion. Cathy’s description of the class offers support to maintain the motion.

  9. Melinda Wilson December 31, 2015 at 11:08 am

My main goal for 2016 is to get my blood sugar back into the normal range; by doing this, I will also be eating healthier and losing weight.

  10. Jenny Kozar December 31, 2015 at 11:09 am

I want to spend more time in the word, be intentional in my family time. Continue to document our stories and get FIT! What a wonderful opportunity this class is. Thank you for the chance to win.

  11. Colleen Flathers December 31, 2015 at 11:13 am

My main goal is to spend more time working on my health. I want/need to move more, eat better, and lower my blood sugars. I also want to spend more time working on taking care of me in other ways, such as time to craft, time to learn, time to pamper myself, etc.

  12. Roxane F. December 31, 2015 at 11:30 am

My main goal for 2016 is to eat healthier and lose 30#’s. Our daughter is getting married in June this year, if I can lose 15#’s or more by then I would feel and look better! I could really use this class for motivation! Thanks for a chance to win!

  13. Mary Holshouser December 31, 2015 at 11:32 am

My main goal for 2016 is to stay healthy and happy.
I’ve been fortunate to be able to do what I want for 75 years and I hope to continue that tradition. My crafting has kept me going and I’ll continue do that.
    Happy New Year.

  14. Betcei B December 31, 2015 at 11:32 am

My main goal for 2016 is to continue building my relationships with all that I love and making more relationships that will be everlasting. Surrounding myself with family and friends who I admire, means that I will always learn and be inspired.

  15. Sandy Carveth December 31, 2015 at 11:32 am

I’m a believer that my autoimmune disease can be cured with a nutritional program, diet and other remedies. Because of the severe fatigue it is a challenge to stay on top of the changes that are needed. When I do get better I will need to relearn living life! Something like this would be great!

  16. Judy December 31, 2015 at 11:35 am

Happy New Year to all! I would like to be more organized and be less of a procrastinator, to be able to complete any and all projects!!! By doing this then there will be less negativity and feeling less stress.

  17. Jennifer Oja December 31, 2015 at 11:43 am

My goal for 2016 is to organize my work room so that I can start to use my products and tools to create more scrapbook pages and cards, and begin to work on photo wall decor projects. We can always use encouragement along the way to stay focused and organized!

  18. Judy December 31, 2015 at 12:00 pm

My goal for 2016 is to say yes more than I say no. In other words be more positive. Worry less 🙂
Thanks to everyone at SCT for making life a lot more fun and colourful!

  37. jengd December 31, 2015 at 4:54 pm

I’ve got a few major goals in my life this year. While I’ve become more fit over the past few years while taking taekwando, I haven’t lost a single pound. Yes, muscle is heavier than fat and I’ve toned some but I haven’t changed sizes in the slightest so it’s not the solution to my problems. This year, I want to lose some of the weight, try to have a more positive attitude and get crafting again. Thanks so much for the chance and Happy New Year!

  38. Christine K December 31, 2015 at 4:56 pm

My goal for 2016 is to work on my planning so that I control my life instead of outside forces!

  41. Tanya December 31, 2015 at 5:28 pm

My goal is simple, yet so hard to do. To get back to the gym on a regular schedule. It must be a top priority.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  42. Denise December 31, 2015 at 5:38 pm

My goal is to continue with the fitness and eating plan I started in August of 2015, which will enable me to reach a healthy weight and be in good shape. I’m so excited to have learned about this scrapbook workshop! I’ve always wondered why there haven’t been collections for fitness, yet, by the major designer paper companies. These colors, icons, and images are so fun, which will make working with the product even more enticing. And what’s extra awesome is that it’s all available for both paper and digi scrapping! I’m a digi scrapper, so that is really important to me!

  43. Marnee W. December 31, 2015 at 5:39 pm

One of my goals in 2016 is to stop procrastinating and get moving. Make fitness and healthier eating a priority. Looking forward to the challenge.

Cathy is the best! A goal for 2016 is to create. I spent so much of 2015 worrying and keeping time with a million and one doctor related to-dos I neglected that part of me that loves to make stuff. 2016 is for remembering how much I love creativity.

  49. Jayne Mercer December 31, 2015 at 7:31 pm

For the first time in 20 years our son with a developmental disability is not my daily responsibility. He is living in a group home with other individuals on the autism spectrum. I have mixed emotions about this shift, but I do realize that for the first time since he was born that I am able to focus a little more on myself. I am so looking forward to being fit in 2016 and this class would be a wonderful way to start!

  78. Lynn January 1, 2016 at 2:41 pm

I would absolutely love a spot in this class and it would help me so much in my goal for 2016 which is to take care of myself physically, mentally and emotionally. I have always been the one available to help so many others and in my time of need I quickly learned some very valuable lessons. 2015 has been a very difficult year for me and I am very hopeful that 2016 is going to be better. One thing I know that has help me so much is taking time to doing scrapbooking, card making, colouring, chalk painting and any other creative activities to keep my mind relaxed! It would be just the therapy I need. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this wonderful prize!!

  79. Carolyn Wright January 1, 2016 at 2:46 pm

Thanks as always and Happy New Year to all the SCT staff & their families!

  90. LucyF January 1, 2016 at 7:01 pm

My main goal this year is to focus on the things that are important – my elderly father, even though he can be a grump; my friends, even though they live far away & I don’t see them as often as I would like; my health, even though I would rather do anything than exercise ….. I think I need help with that one!

  91. Christine James January 1, 2016 at 7:12 pm

Wow this is just what I need right now. My goal this year is to focus more on me. I give so much of myself to others I forget about me. This year has been a very difficult one. I haven’t had time to scrapbook at all which is part of my “me time”. In looking back at my books I realize I’m never in any photos because I hate how I look. I joined weight watchers and am about 20 pounds away from reaching my 100 pounds lost goal. This year long project would be the perfect motivation for me!

My goal is to attain a healthy lifestyle that will enable me to have more time for my family.

  99. Jaime Sunshine January 1, 2016 at 10:57 pm

Happy New Year to Everyone! I’d like to thank SCT & Cathy who’s in charge of FIT for an amazing giveaway. My goal for 2016 is Positivity. For the 1st time, I have purchased a planner so that each day I need to sit & take atleast 5 minutes to write something positive down. So, 365 days of positivity should help keep any negative thoughts or feelings out of my mind. My 2nd goal is finally organizing & being able to create in My Crafting Oasis. Every day I will set 15 minutes aside to organize. By doing so, I will get my room in order in no time, instead of the crazy anxiety I get now. And lastly my 3rd goal, is for my 13 year old daughter & my lovely boyfriend to help do there share of housework. I will be putting together a board of chores for all of us to do. If we work as a team, the house will be more inviting & bring a lot less stress to yours truly. If I win a FIT class, I’d be over the moon with joy. Trying a class like that is just what I need for 2016. Thanks again!!

  100. Katherine Buchanan January 1, 2016 at 11:02 pm

I really need to focus on improving my health. I’ve recently been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. I have so many questions, but my memory fails me frequently. Having one focused spot to keep questions and information would be amazing.

I would like to downsize my house as my kids are starting to set up their own lives, learn how to use my time better now that I am not focusing so much on family ties and of course get healthier and lose weight. It is more about refocusing than eliminating. Hopefully I will have more energy and this will transfer into doing more…crafts of course! but in a healthier body.

  130. Michelle Luck January 3, 2016 at 5:11 am

I’ve always enjoyed staying fairly fit – I’m not much of a runner and certainly not a gym-junkie, but I’ve always loved sport. With my third baby, though, it’s so hard just to get out of the house, and I can only walk at the speed my 3 year old can keep. This year, my goal for 2016 is to fit walking (at a speed resembling exercise) into every day.

  131. Kimberli Bean January 3, 2016 at 8:14 pm

  161. Peggie Allen January 6, 2016 at 10:46 am

2015 was a tough year for me. I lost my mom after a lengthy illness. And somewhere along the way, several of my closest crafting friends distanced themselves from me. It seemed like they would/ could only be my friends if things were good and happy, but not when things were dark,…when I needed them most. I know new friends will come along, but it has still been a tough road (and I still only had one mom who can’t be replaced.)
I need to break out of this inertia and start getting out into the world again. New friends, new activities, healthier mind and body. My goal is to start those baby steps ……

  162. Carol G. January 6, 2016 at 11:07 am

This class sounds so interesting and like something I need in my life. I am very intrigued. My main goal this year is to create a more positive outlook and stop worrying about everything, which then ties in with my health goals, as worry and anxiety tend to drive up my blood sugar. Thanks for this opportunity, my birthday is Friday, so I have my fingers crossed!

I also need to move my body more – I reached my goal weight one year ago, but need to work on my fitness level.
