Hello friends, it’s Latisha here with you! How many of you subscribe to the SCT Sampler? It is so affordable, and every month I am shocked at how much product fits into that envelope! Not to mention how cute it is! Today, I am sharing some cards that I created using the June Sampler.

Supplies | SCT June Sampler; Ink, twine: Lawn Fawn; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L; Stamps: Scrapbook.com; Clear glitter gel

After opening the Sampler, what immediately caught my eye was the bright colors of the patterned papers, the star stencil, and the fruit ephemera and stickers! Although this Sampler includes papers from both American Crafts and Bella Blvd., they coordinated so perfectly collectively with the rainbow theme.

Most of the cards being shown today are self-explanatory except for this star stenciled card. This one needs more instruction. To start, I placed the stencil over the white cardstock base (or card front), and taped on the edges so that the stencil did not move. If you have Pixie Spray from ThermoWeb, that works fantastic as well. The stencil needs to be secure so it does not move.

Starting from the left top corner, moving down at an angle to the bottom right corner, I applied ink using ink blenders. The ink colors that I blended over the stencil onto the card were pink, red, orange, light green, green and aqua. Between colors, I wiped the stencil with a cloth to clean. Once all of the colors were applied, to make the stars sparkle, I applied clear glitter gel with a scraper for even coverage, and wiped the excess off the stencil before removing it to let my background dry. Once the glitter gel was dry, I adhered the die cut and twine to the  card.

This is a tall slim line card, created with patterned paper, ephemera, and enamel hearts from the Sampler. The sentiment is from the Cards For Kindness stamp set from The Stamping Village. This card will be sent to Scrapbook.com, where it will be distributed to a hospital to help those in need for their Cards for Kindness program!

SCT-Magazine-June-Sampler-Latisha-Yoast-Cards-04This is such a fun, bright card! Two coordinating patterned papers were layered onto a card base. Then I adhered the fruit ephemera and stickers from the Sampler to the card with foam adhesive. The sentiments were cut from strips of patterned paper, and I added a few hearts to embellish.

When adding stickers and ephemera, be sure to pop some layers up with foam adhesive for extra depth and dimension.
