Hi there! It’s Nicole here today to share with you a few organization tips on how to keep some of your scrappy supplies organized so you can find things easily when you need them!

I have a typical scrap space set up in my basement with Ikea Expedit shelves, holding lots of paper organizers for all of my paper—my largest supply! I have a few other organization tips for some of those “other” items you might not reach for as often as I do for patterned paper and cardstock!

I found this cute metal organizer on sale at a local big box craft store. It is perfect to keep staples organized and ready to grab at any moment, like the notebooks that I use to keep track of assignments as well as sketches and ideas for upcoming projects and cut files. It has a great spot in the back to store some card bases, embossing folders and my growing stash of stencils, too. I love that I can fit a mason jar filled with paintbrushes and smaller watercolor paint bottles in front.

I keep all of my stencils on a jump ring so they are all bound together and don’t get lost in the holder. I simply unclip the ring to grab the stencil I want to use, and it is easy to place them back together once I am all done.

I always have a small box or two of sandwich baggies in one of my desk drawers and use them to empty out packages of die cut embellishments. I like to trim down the photo from the package that details what is inside and slide that in the zipped baggie so I can easily identify them later when I am making a project.

Metal baskets like this one are a great way to store my Scrapbook & Cards Today stamps! They make it easy to store and see the different designs. I have a few different baskets to organize stamps from different brands.

My favorite organizational “tool” is this large shallow bowl I found on sale at the big box craft store. I intended to add some adhesive vinyl to it, but it landed a spot on my craft shelving instead. I chose to start adding in it any little leftover die cuts or extra fussy cut elements left on my desk when working on projects.

If I am ever looking for that little bit of something, I dig through the bowl and usually am inspired by a little tidbit I find! I don’t like tossing out those extra cuts I have done and this is the perfect solution to me to keep those all together for when I need them.

I have a few smaller buckets and decorative cups that I use to store things like my art crayons and watercolor markers. They are also great for pens, markers, scissors—all those sorts of odds and ends! It makes it much easier to go grab what you need, when you need it!

I hope you have a few new ideas to use next time you do a little organizing in your crafty space, no matter how big or small your space is!
