Hello, friends! It’s Latisha here with you! Today I am sharing what I like to keep close to me as I create, and a peek inside my craft room!
This is the seat where I create today. My husband is in the Navy, and we have had 10 homes in over 21 years. I am lucky to have a dedicated craft room. Having a room in a home, for the sole purpose of crafting is not the norm and I realize that. A craft room is simply a luxury. Pantry, kitchen table, floor, garage, walk-in closet, dedicated craft studio: these are the places during the past 21+ years where I have created cards, tags, scrapbook pages, and more! One does not need a beautiful room to create beautiful things. Just a sturdy table and supplies!
Sitting down, this is my rainbow view. It is vibrant and it instantly sparks creativity!
These blender brushes are amazing and what I use to create backgrounds with water-based inks. Backgrounds using oxide inks are created with foam blender brushes. These brushes are held in a coffee mug that says “CREATE.” I love that!
I like being able to reach for a stamp pad when I need it. This cute little shelf works perfect to hold all of my Lawn Fawn and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads, as well as many different types of black stamp pads, organized by color family.
A paper trimmer and stamping platforms stay on the craft table at all times. AT. ALL. TIMES. Both of these are invaluable to any stamper.
These clear shelves were created and marketed to hold nail polish. Their purpose in my craft room is to hold glitter, embossing powder, sequins, and some washi tape. The shelves are adhered to the wall using strong double-sided tape.
While in craft stores, my eyes are always searching for ways to organize supplies. This rack was made to organize thread for sewing, but it is perfect to organize all of my Lawn Fawn trimmings!
Pegboards hold and organize a lot. Almost every craft supply comes packaged to be hung up. My husband created a frame for the pegboard, painted it white, and hung it up for me.
Until I get another set of clear shelves to organize dimensional glitters, this ColorCase organizer from Scrapbook.com works perfectly!
There are two counter height tables in my craft room measuring 36 inches tall by 54 inches wide and they are side by side. This gives me almost 10 feet of counter space to create! I prefer to stand while I am making projects. Because the tables are tall, this gives my additional storage space beneath them. Not shown in these photos is another desk where I keep my desktop iMac and do my housekeeping, blogging, and editing.
This Expedit shelf from Ikea houses cardstock, patterned paper, punch boards, and additional stamps.
As you walk into this room, not seen to the left is a desk and secretary style cabinet, and to the right, a metal shelving unit. Pictured is my tall bookshelf that holds stamps, planner materials, a Silhouette Cameo 4, more coloring mediums, dies and memorabilia, the two craft tables with more organizing units below them, and the Expedit shelf on the right.
