Hello, friends! It’s Meghann Andrew with you today! Last weekend, Publisher Catherine Tachdjian, Editor-in-Chief Susan R. Opel, creative team member Latisha Yoast and myself, Social Engagement Coordinator, represented Scrapbook & Cards Today on the show floor at Creativation, the yearly trade show where our favorite papercrafting manufacturers show off their new products!
We would have loved to have taken all of you along with us, but instead, we worked really hard to create video content to show you what our partners and friends were showing, which you can find at our YouTube channel! Not always the best quality given our limitations with lighting and WiFi but we tried to bring you with us. We also snapped a lot of photos of the products and projects that impressed us! Today I’d like to share a few of those with you, and tell you what products will be hitting your favorite local store or online retailers soon that we are excited about.
Our first booth stop on Sunday morning was with our good friend Heidi Swapp, so that she could show us her newest products, including the amazing Minc Toner Ink! This ink allows you to use whatever stamps you have on hand to create shiny, metallic effects when combined Minc foil and the Minc machine. If you have a Minc, this little bottle of creative possibilities will be at the top of your wish list, and if you do not have a Minc, like me, you’ll want one now! Watch as Heidi shows us how simple this ink is to use to take your projects to the next level, and see her introduce her Storyline Chapters and Art Walk collections, too!
Just next to Heidi was our other amazing friend, Vicki Boutin, showing off her amazing Let’s Wander collection with American Crafts! As usual, Vicki’s collection includes all of the beautiful colors in a versatile, adventure-themed collection, which can be used to record your escapades in your own backyard, or halfway across the world! As with her past collections, Vicki makes adding mixed-media touches to your projects simple, and Let’s Wander includes embossing folders, stencils, Creative FX art medium, Color Pop paint, a new texture paste set and so much more!
At Pink Paislee, we were feeling all of the tropical vibes next to the gorgeous 5th & Monaco collection!
We were so excited for our friend, Maggie Holmes, who introduced us to her latest collection, Sweet Story, as well as her new Day-to-Day disc planner collection with Crate Paper! Watch as she takes us through both beautiful product releases in her booth! We think you’ll love what you see!
One aisle away, our friends at Simple Stories had an exciting new Snap! release to share with us! Their new Snap! Flipbooks come in a beautiful range of colors, in both 6” x 8” and 4” x 6” and make it easy to create beautiful mini books! Each Flipbook includes 10 signature pocket pages and the metal closure makes it easy to add more, which you can purchase in add-on packs. Our friend, Jana Eubank shows us these albums at the end of our Simple Stories booth walk-through video. Be sure to watch the first part of the video to see all of their amazing collection releases, too!
In addition to a rainbow of beautiful, textured My Colors cardstock, our friends at My Mind’s Eye were showing off three new collections, and our favorite had to be One of a Kind, which was created to celebrate women and all of our individual worth! It features a diverse range of skin tones and body types because MME believes that everyone should be able to find themselves in memory keeping and crafting projects! How amazing is that? We love its warm and vibrant color scheme, and cannot wait for it to hit store shelves!
We loved all of the new collections that Echo Park shared with us in our booth walk-though video, but the one that really caught our floral loving eye was Oh Happy Day! This Carta Bella collection has the signature textured patterned paper that we all love, and coordinating embellishments, die cuts and stencils to help you create the most beautiful projects ever! We can’t wait for it to ship in February!
Finding innovative products is one of our favorite parts of attending Creativation, and we thought the Circular Peek-a-Boo Doors Fancy Die from Hero Arts was certainly that: innovative! These little peek-a-boo windows coordinate with several new Hero Arts background stamps to create an interactive and fun cards design, perfect for anyone who needs to have their day brightened! Watch the Hero Arts Instagram feed for projects featuring this fun die, and check out the Hero Arts booth walk-though video to see what else caught Latisha’s eye!
We have been watching The Stamp Market come out with amazing products, including their own line of ink and coordinating cardstock in the past year since their debut at Creativation 2019, and we were so excited about several of their new releases, including their new Stick n’ Store Stamp Storage, which will be available in February! This must-have organizational collection for stampers includes stamp inserts and pockets, as well as a full rainbow of beautiful dividers with matching labels to organize your stamps by category or company. Both products are available in two sizes, standard fits up to a 5” x 6” stamp or the XL which fits your larger stamps! Watch The Stamp Market Instagram feed for more information, and get ready to get your stamp stash organized!
Our friends at Pink & Main create several series of stamps that are made to customize any card, but we really loved their newest Plaid Builder stamps! In this collection, you will find three different 6″x 6″ plaid stamps, each sold separately, so you can create your favorite plaid pattern in any color combination to create a bespoke background! We thought it was such a smart idea!
Last, but certainly not least for today, we wanted to share the new Rina K for Therm O Web collection with you, and we think it will certainly get your attention! The new NEW Rina K. Designs StampnStencil collection includes new Neon Glitz Glitter Gels, Neon Enamels, and Neon Flock to make your projects POP off of the page! Rina’s new Flock and Enamels come in the same Electro-Pop Neon colors of Hello Yellow, Screamin’ Green, Orange Glow, and Poppin’ Pink to coordinate textures across your projects in a beautiful way! These new products will be hitting the Therm O Web store soon, but until then, check out this blog post and process video of the products in action, as well as Rina and Gina K. themselves introducing us to the product!
If you thought these products were FABULOUS, just wait until we share another post full of not-to-miss products from our partners and friends with you tomorrow!
Until then, happy creating!

My senses are overloaded with goodness! The peek-a-boo die from Hero Arts looks super fun.
Sorry to say I was very disappointed in the videos posted of the show, they were very hard to see, not good quality. :-(
