Hi SCT friends!  It’s Sidnie and I’m back to show you some cool ways to be creative when making your cards using the same products!

Let’s say all you have is a background stamp but you want to use it in different ways. You try and try, yet your creativity is just stuck. Let me show you two fun and creative ways to use your stamp which will make that background stamp one of your favorites to use!

For my first card, I grabbed my Pinkfresh Studio’s Floral Focus cling stamp and inked it up with embossing ink and clear embossing powder, stamping it on Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock before heat setting the image.

I used the coordinating stencil to add Orange Marmalade, Kitsch Flamingo, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks on the flowers and leaves. I used a lighter hand towards the middle of the flowers and then came in with a heavier hand at the edges, using the same technique for the leaves.

I trimmed my panel to clean up the edges and adhered it to an A2 size card base. I used the You die sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio and cut it out from gold cardstock. IIf you don’t have any on hand, you can also use gold embossing powder on white cardstock, cutting it out after it has been heat set.  I finished this card off with the “so happy for” sentiment from the Simply Sentiments – You stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio that I added above the “You” die cut.

My second example shows off my favorite use of a background stamp: using it as a coloring page to color with Copic Markers! It’s relaxing and really fun to do! I stamped the same Floral Focus cling stamp using black ink on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, using my Misti to get a crisp image.

I chose some of my favorite color combinations to color the beautiful flowers on the background: B69, B66, B63 and B60 for the flowers and YG67, YG17 and YG03 for the leaves.

I stamped the “I love that you’re my person” sentiment from the Simply Sentiments – You stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio on Smoke Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and heat set it using white embossing powder. I adhered it to my panel with Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares and added it to an A2 size card base.

I hope you are inspired to now grab your favorite background stamp try using it in two different ways! Thanks so much for stopping by!
