Welcome, friends! It’s Mindy here today with a bright and cheerful summer-themed card that’s sure to bring a smile. I’m diving into some fun techniques using peel-apart background stamps. They’re perfect for creating custom designs, and today I’m putting a sunny spin on them!

Supplies | Taylored Expressions: Stamps/Dies: Hello Sunshine, Under My Umbrella, Return of the Floaties, Sandy Shores, A2 Layer Stacklets, Ink colors in Oreo, Sprinkles, Cookie Monster, Tropical Punch, Cardstock in Sugar Cube. Peaches n Cream, Candy Corn, Salt Water Taffy, Tropical Punch, Tools: Teal Misti, blending brushes, Die Pick, Reverse Tweezers, Clean Sweep, Bits & Pieces Silver Glitter Drops, Pick & Place Tool, Glassboard Buddy; Gina K Designs: Intricut Die Cut Machine, Sandy Beach Ink, Fine Tip Bottle, Connect Glue; Altenew Foam Tape; Alcohol markers: OLO Marker

One of my favorite techniques is ink blending directly onto the stamp itself. It’s a great way to add soft gradients and unexpected color blends right from the start. Combined with the peel-apart design, you get endless creative possibilities — and the result is a card full of vibrant summer vibes!

Be sure to watch the how-to video below, where I walk you through the entire process and chat about all of the supplies I’m using. From choosing the perfect ink colors to how I line up the peel-apart background stamps, I share tips and tricks along the way to help you get the most out of your stamping stash. It’s a fun and easy technique you’ll want to try!
