Welcome friends! This is Mindy Eggen and I have two cards to share with you today. November is all about being thankful, whether it’s for someone’s help, their friendship, or maybe a gift. Whatever you are thankful for, I hope these cards inspire you!

Supplies | Hot Foil Plates: Spellbinders & Pinkfresh Studio; Washi Tape: Pinkfresh Studio; Stamp & Stencils: Pinkfresh Studio; Cardstock: Concord & 9th; Embellishments: Pinkfresh Studio; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Gina K Designs; Dies: Honeybee Stamps; Glimmer Foil – Spellbinders/Pinkfresh Studio; Tools: Gina K Designs

The first card I want to share is super easy to create with a little help from washi tape. I’ll admit, I feel a little guilty when I use washi tape on my cards. I have so many craft supplies that are begging to be used, but when I am just lacking in mojo, or want to make a quick card, these sure come in handy!

This card was created with the Pears and Pomegranates Washi Tape and coordinating die. All you need to do is adhere the washi tape to a piece of white cardstock, line up the coordinating die and cut out the images. You immediately have a bunch of die cuts to work with for your card, and you can get a TON of images from one roll!

You could attach these directly to a card front, but I wanted to add a little bit more interest to the background. I did this by hot foiling the Art Deco Hot Foil Plate in Copper Glimmer Foil. There’s just something about the Pears, Pomegranates, and Copper foil that brings in all the Fall vibes.

For the sentiment, I used the “thanks” foiled in gold from the Be Bold Sentiment collection and a smaller sentiment from the Just Wanted To Say Collection foiled in Copper.

This is all finished off with the Butterscotch Glitter Drops attached with liquid glue. They matched so well with my foil.

Now if you are not into hot foiling, I have another card I want to share—this one created with stencils.

This is a set that I’ve had in my stash for a while and have been meaning to use—the Sunflowers Stamp Set, Sunflowers stencil, and coordinating die. I ink-blended the sunflowers in a variety of colors from Pinkfresh Studio using a blending brush. Then I used the coordinating die to cut them out.

I popped up all of the images using foam squares and created my pattern background.

Using a Nested Rectangle die, I cut out a frame and added it over the top. To get the look of foil without actually foiling, I die cut out a sentiment from the Smooth Lines Mix & Match Sentiments Collection using Gold foil cardstock.

The finishing touch to this one is adding gold glitter drops in the open areas of the background.

So there we have two ‘thank you’ cards, each with some sort of foiled look to them, whether it be from cardstock or hot foiling.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and that they have inspired you! Thanks for stopping by today.
