What is your go-to, must have tool?

Thinking about a tool that I use on almost all projects, it would have to be foam adhesive. It elevates any project!

Mindy Eggen

Mindy Eggen

I’m a stay-at-home Mom married to a very supportive husband that lets me indulge in all things crafty. We have our daughter Ali (13), who also enjoys getting crafty and our son Dalton (9), who is Autistic and enjoys coloring. Together we all live in Wisconsin and enjoy all the beautiful seasons it has to offer. I started getting crafty back in grade school with coloring contests but after high school I started dabbling with stamping and heat embossing. Then I played around with scrapbooking and by scrapbooking I mean stickers. I evolved as the scrapbooking world evolved. I became a Close To My Heart consultant for a while holding classes and workshops and after 6 years, I took a small break. I returned to scrapbooking/cardmaking in 2016 and was completely smitten with all the wonderful products in the crafting world! When I’m not crafting, I’m snuggling with the kids, watching crazy movies or hanging with the kids outside.

When did you start papercrafting and how did it come about?

I technically started paper crafting back in grade school by entering coloring contests. My brother was an amazing artist so I’m pretty sure I got my inspiration from him.  He used to do canvas paintings in high school that I fell in love with. From coloring contests, I went into scrapbooking and eventually to cardmaking.

Nathalie Leonelli

Nathalie Leonelli

Hi! I’m Nathalie, originally from France, I moved to the US as a college student and now live in California with my husband and our two boys. What started simply as an intention to get my wedding photos out of shoeboxes 20 years ago has rapidly turned into an everyday obsession. I love to be immersed in the creative process, to look at others for inspiration and to be part of the amazing and supportive community of paper crafters. Even though it has progressed through time, I describe my style as mostly graphic with special attention to color. I started with 12×12 layouts but four years ago switched to pocket scrapbooking and traveler’s notebooks. I will also occasionally make cards, mini albums, and other fun creative projects. I have been designing for different manufacturers and kit companies since 2008.

What is your go-to, must have tool?

Other than the indispensable paper trimmer and adhesive, I would say my manual typewriter (a pretty Remington Ten Forty). I use it all the time for my journaling.

Erica Thompson

Erica Thompson

Erica Thompson, also known as Erica Rose Creates has been a scrapbook designer and educator for over 6 years. She got her start with crafting in middle school when she was given a scrapbook for Valentine’s Day. She loved taking photos and documenting her time in school and with her friends. This has carried through her adulthood and she continued her passion of documenting with her family.

Erica loves to explore when creating, though she loves clean, white space with splashes of color using inks and mists. More recently her signature style has included cut files, which she enjoys backing with pattern papers. Erica currently serves on the Pinkfresh Studio, Jillibean Soup, Doodlebug Design, and Bella Blvd design teams. Past design teams include The Cut Shoppe and Clique Kits, and she has guest designed for Paige Evans & Catherine Pooler Designs. She has also been featured in publications such as Creative Scrapbooker and Scrapbook & Cards Today.
