Happy November, I love this time of year to reflect on all the things we can be thankful for.  I also love making mini-albums to capture all the little bite-sized moments that make my heart smile.

Today I’m sharing another version of a one-sheet accordion mini album (I made one earlier for the SCT blog this past Spring).  I dug into the beautiful SCT Autumn Splendor kit (which includes an awesome alphabet stamp set!) to create my mini.

The base accordion album is easy to create, all you need is one sheet of 12×12 paper and a scoring tool.  First, score the paper vertically at 3, 6 and 9 inches.

Next, rotate the paper 90 degrees, score vertically at 5.75” and then rotate the paper to its original position.  Fold up the bottom half (it will not meet at the top) and then fold the panels into an accordion.

You have just made your accordion album, yay!  You can choose to start embellishing or perform the next few steps to kick up the design.

Create tag style tops by cutting out ‘v’s at each fold line.  Create detail at the top edges of the lower panels with simple tools using your circle punch and scissors. Look at the last step in the photo below.

There are plenty of nooks and crannies to place your favourite photos and journaling.  Create tags that can slip into the pockets to make your album fun and interactive!

This would make an awesome brag book, keep one in your purse or send it to a special someone. Hope this inspires you to do a little mini-album crafting!
