Hello, it’s Virginia here on the blog today. Have you ever come across scrapbook paper that you just love so much and you say to yourself, ‘it’s so pretty, I can’t use it”, those words ever ring true? LOL See this beautiful gold foiled die cut paper from Jen Hadfield’s Heart of Home collection, gorgeous isn’t it? and let me tell you I hemmed and hawed over this lovely paper and finally I committed to using it! (Psst..Fall 2017 Crop and Create attendees, this paper was in your event goody bag!)
Keeping to a horizontal photo storyline along with a gold title helps to show off the gold woodgrain pattern of the paper. I also decided not to adhere the paper onto a 12×12 cardstock base as the live-edge paper will look cool just on its own in a page protector.
I hope this encourages you to use some of your favourite pieces in your stash, you can do it!

Love, Love, Love that tree ring Paper! Totally awesome! Great layout! TFS!
Adorable dog and I love the paper. I’m one of the worst for hording paper, especially handmade paper, of which I have a lot, and I really mean a lot. I’ll never be able to use all of it!
I just love this tree ring paper! And you’re right it’s awesome all on it’s own in a protective sleeve.
Thanks for sharing. :)
I knew I recognized that paper! I’ve been hoarding it forever LOL. As always, Virginia blows me away with her beautiful designs and has definitely inspired me to finally use this awesome pp!
So very eye-catching!
I love that paper….and lucky me I got one in my Fall Crop and Create and a spare because my friend didn’t think she would use it and gave it to me (now that is friends with benefits!) . I actually used one for a camping layout I completed this spring. it was the perfect thing :)
