Hello! Sheri Reguly here. I know it’s not officially December yet, but I simply could not wait. I got a jump on the holiday season by creating a Christmas themed layout to share with you today.

Sheri Reguly for Scrapbook & Cards Today

I love shopping for seasonal scrapbooking products, but I also love to think outside the box and use product that I already happen to have on hand. The patterned paper that I used on today’s layout is a favourite from Crate Paper’s Willow Lane collection, by Maggie Holmes.

When I first saw this paper, I instantly had so many ideas as to how I wanted to use it. This being one of them…allowing the beautifully designed paper to essentially dictate the design of my layout. I could only bring myself to cover up a small corner of the design. Within this corner, I adhered both my title and photo, along with some fun holiday-themed embellishments. A strip of washi tape along the entire bottom edge plays on the holiday theme. I incorporated simple die cut shapes within the stripes of pattern and added an additional touch of gold. As always, I turned to my collection of enamel dots to add the finishing touch.

SUPPLIES: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper, Washi Tape, Button, Stickers, Puffy Stickers, Ephemera: Crate Paper; Wooded Button: American Crafts; Enamel Dots: Simple Stories, American Crafts, Manual Dies: Sizzix; Punch: Stampin’ Up!; Adhesive: Thermoweb; Other: Cork

Thank you so much for joining me today! Have you ever used non-traditional products on a holiday-themed layout? If so, I’d love to see what you created. Link me up in the comments! :)
