Good morning, Paige here! Bea Valint from My Shiny Studio is the queen of amazing, unique, and wonderful cut files – and they're FREE! I used her "3D floral cut file" to create this page to share with you today!
Supplies: Patterned paper, stickers (chipboard, mini alphabet), washi tape: Oh My Heart by Paige Evans / Pink Paislee; 3D Floral Cut File: Bea Valint; Die cut machine: Silhouette Cameo 3; Cardstock, pencil, adhesive: American Crafts
When I'm scrapbooking I try and not use white for my background… but sometimes it can't be helped!! Like, a LOT of the time! What is it about a crisp, clean background? I don't know, but it's what this layout calls for!
I started by die cutting the free floral background from smooth white American Crafts cardstock. Then to bring in some color I backed it with Paper 13 from my Oh My Heart collection with Pink Paislee.
Since there is already a lot going on visually from the beautiful flowers, I kept the embellishing to a minimum. I fussy cut some small flowers from patterned papers and then adhered one to the center of each die cut flower.
On the bottom right side I added a colorful photo of my daughter Jane on a bright yellow park bench. SHE asked ME to take her photo! That rarely happens! So when it does, I snap away.
At the bottom edge of the photo I layered mini alphabet stickers over a piece of washi tape to make the title and then journaled with a pencil over the petals on the bottom right flower. All-in-all this layout came together really fast even though it might not look like it - the delicate floral cut file does all the work for me!
Thanks so much for joining me today!
