Greetings! Emily here to today to share with you some ideas on reusing packaging. Every month, when I get my Cocoa Daisy kits, they come packaged so nicely in tissue papers, glassine envelopes, and canvas bags. They seem so handy, I don't want to throw them away, which means if I don't use them, I end up with a huge stash. I have found a few ways to reuse them, I'd like to share them with you.

The first product is tissue paper. It makes a great semi-transparent layer to projects!

I use glassine envelopes a lot on my layouts. They come in the kits full of die cuts and cards, I carefully empty them and take off the stickers then then use the package on my projects. I've got a couple of examples for you.

My first idea is to use them as a layer to mat a photo, as shown here in my layout, "The Best Compliment Ever." I like the texture it gives to the matting (note the tissue paper again).

(BONUS! I also love to use it as a holder for my hidden journaling card. You can tell there's journaling, but it's a little more obscured, which I wanted for this project.)

The second way I've used the envelopes is as a page in a mini album. It's the perfect way to add variety to an album full of patterned papers. You can also use them to store memorabilia.

The Day in the Life and Planner kits come in canvas bags. I was collecting these, not quite sure what you do with them, then I had an idea and I have a feeling I'm going to be using up my supply pretty quickly.

I made banners out of them!

I hope you'll think twice before you throw away or recycle your packaging, you just might be missing a great opportunity!
