Good morning SCT friends, Sheri here today. My favorite way to use those random scraps that remain on my desk after designing a layout is to create a card a two. I always like to have a couple ready on hand, as it’s a wonderful way to unexpectedly brighten up someone’s day. You never know when someone you care about will be in need of a smile. :)
I love turning to sketches to get me started. The fun tilt of this sketch featured in the winter issue instantly caught my eye.
And the result…
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: Simple Stories, Pink Paislee; Stand Out Sticker Embellishment: Crate Paper; Cork Arrow: Studio Calico; Enamel Dots: My Mind’s Eye; Baker’s Twine: Doodlebug Designs
I’m sure I’m not the only one with a messy desk at the moment. LOL Take a few moments today to create a card with those random odds and ends, and send some one a smile. It’s my favorite way to tidy up!
Great card! And a great idea – using the leftovers to make cards! I do get tired of putting away scraps and other leftovers, just to take out more stuff to start a new project. Everything already goes together, and you might use some of it up and have less to put away!
Just Because cards are my favorite ones to make! I love brightening someone’s day and randomly send lots of them out!! TFS!
Making cards and tags is a great use of leftovers! I hate throwing anything away!
