Hello there SCT fans! It’s Nicole here with the 48th video in my Designed with Nicole series.

This week, we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving and I wanted to keep that in mind to create a set of thank you/grateful cards to go along with that theme! I dug into my new Peaceful Heart collection from Jen Hadfield for American Crafts to create a fun folded paper technique to create this set of cards:

Supplies | Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper: Jen Hadfield Peaceful Heart; Medium: Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze; Gems: Queen & Co.; Ranger: Mini Stapler; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

By using some simply folded strips of paper, you can add a lot of texture and dimension! This technique is so fun and easy and creates beautiful images for your next card or scrapbook page too!

You can switch this up with any sort of cut-out shape and this technique is a great way to put your tools to work! Think of all the punches, dies, and even shaped designs in your digital library that you can use for this technique.

I chose to use fairly simple and neutral patterned papers inside my leaf cutouts, but the sky’s the limit for what you could fill inside your cut-out shape! Just think how beautiful this would look with specialty papers inside, like foil or glitter!

I hope you will sit back, grab something to drink, and create one of these cards along with me to show your gratitude to someone special this weekend.

Thanks for joining me today
