Hi there! Nicole Nowosad here today to share with you a fun watercolour background that you can create in a few simple steps!
Supplies: Watercolour paints- Pinkfresh Studio; Stamps – Close to My Heart; Thickers: Vicki Boutin; Stickers: Shimelle; Gesso; Cardstock- American Crafts
You can create a watercolour background as simple or complex as you would like. I wanted to do a fun rainbow watercolour background and mimic the colours in some stamped images from Close to My Heart
Adding some stamped butterflies in the same tones of ink as the watercolour paints are a simple (and contained way) to expand that watercolour effect onto your page.
Sit back and see how you can create your own watercolour background and combine in a few stamped images too in my process video below!
I hope you are inspired to grab some watercolour paints and give this a try yourselves!
Beautiful layout! Love the butterflies. Was an encouragement to me to see I’m not the only one that makes mistakes. Can be very irritating though.
THis page is so beautiful that I want to try to scraplift it
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Simply stunning ???? love this layout of mixed media and butterflies. Vicki Boutin style! Mistakes are opportunities to to think outside the box and create something better. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Beautiful layout!
Thanks for sharing…
Fabulous layout! I love your style. Thanks for sharing.
Love your layout Nicole! I bought those PF liquid watercolour bottles last year and have yet to use them. I love how they look on your layout. Going to give this a try. :D
Beautiful layout!
Wow gorgeous
Beautiful layout Nicole. What kind of paper did you use? ????
Hi Nina
I used cardstock for the water colouring but you need to prime with gesso first. Otherwise I would suggest watercolour paper!
Beautiful layout,
What was the little tool you were using for your pop dots and also you had a little pad of all different embellishments stickers where can I get that?
Gorgeous layout, Nicole, and I love how you used the little alphabet stamps to make your title! The butterflies are gorgeous too, I love using that set, it’s versatile for cards and layouts.
Quinoa question:
What was the foam adhesive you used to pop up the wings?
I LOVE this layout! You’ve met my daughter, Nicole….rainbows are a thing at our house!
