Hi there SCT fans! It’s Nicole here to show you how fun it is to add a quick stencil background on your scrapbook projects, or cards too! I love the soft and subtle look of a stenciled background and I hope you will, too!

Using some stamping ink and a stencil is a really simple way to create your own customized background. You can block it out and repeat your design, or keep it simple and add light touches to a plain color background as I chose to do on my project today. I just love the soft feel you can create by blending the ink over a stenciled area.

I chose to use only one color, but just think of the possible combinations of patterns you can create by switching up colors and patterns of stencils!  You can really take this as small or big as you want, too!

Sit back and watch how easy it is to create your own project like this using a collection kit you have on hand – or maybe a new one you have your eye on!

I hope you will give this technique a try and share it with us! Please tag @sctmagazine and @nicolenowosad on social media if you have given this a try so I can see how it turned out!
