Hello crafty friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! It’s Yarelys and I’m so happy and excited to be here sharing with you a layout I created using a border punch to add a ton of texture. I had a lot of fun playing along with the Wonders Collection from Paige Evans and American Crafts.

Supplies | American Crafts and Paige Evans Wonders collection: 12 x 12 inch paper pad, floral ephemera, sticker book, dimensional stickers; Tonic Studios border punch

I love to add texture to my projects, and a great way to do this is using border punches. Not only do they add texture, but they also add layers and dimension. I chose a scalloped punch to cut borders from strips of different papers using the 12 x 12 inch and 6 x 8-inch paper pads from the Paige Evans Wonders collection, and because I’m obsessed with rainbows, I made one by layering the strips.

Another thing I’m obsessed with is flowers. I use them in almost all of my layouts, even if is a boy layout. I like to fold the petals to give them dimension and a more realistic look. In this layout, I used lots of flowers from the Wonders collection floral ephemera. I also used stickers from the sticker book, sticking them onto white cardstock and fussy cutting them so that I can move them around and glue them where I like it more.

For my title, I used a piece of ephemera that went well with my photo! To finish the layout and add more texture, I added gold and white splatters.

I love how this layout turned out! I hope you all like it and take your border punches out of the drawer and use them—create texture with them and have a lot of fun! Thanks so much for stopping by!
