Hey there SCT fans! It’s Nicole back on the blog today to share a super fun DIY embellishment project with you. And I’ve included a process video below too!
Supplies: Felt: Taylored Expresssions; Patterned Paper: Crate Paper, Simple Stories,Vicki Boutin; Cardstock: Bazzill; Clip: Doodlebug; Diecuts: Vicki Boutin; Stamps: Close to My Heart; Glitter stickers: Heidi Swapp;
I created the above project for the spring issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine using some fun felt, a metal die and my trusty fringe scissors – and guess what – you can too! I created the felt flowers on the front of these cards in just a few short minutes. You can also create the same flowers with patterned paper too!
Sit back and see how easily you can create your own DIY embellishments that are perfect for layouts, cards and even DIY signs too!
Thank you for popping by the blog today – I hope you are inspired to give this a try!
Really pretty flowers! Thanks for sharing your techniques.
Really cute and colorful!
Interesting techniques. Seems those would look good on a wreath, also. Thanks for sharing.
The layout and cards are wonderful! I love the look of rolled flowers, and it’s fun to see the difference using paper and felt. :)
Lovely flowers and
using felt works well
for flowers.

Beautiful flowers, thanks!
Gorgeous!
Love the flowers. Bet it would be fun to adhere some fabric to cardstock and cut out the flowers too! I will have to give it a try.
Beautiful flowers! I love all the texture on Nicole’s cards. And the layout of her and Vicki is gorgeous!

I love all the textures of your gorgeous projects and am so in love with the colors you found! Simply beautiful!
