Hello SCT friends, it’s Virginia here today to share with you my process in using a sketch and then turning it into a double page.  I love using sketches for inspiration and here is a fun sketch by PageMaps.

When using a sketch I look for a starting point that grabs my attention for what I have in mind to scrap.  This could be photo sizes and placement, a pattern or shape.  This sketch features a large circle which is one of my favourite geometric shapes so that becomes my jumping off point and you see it on the left side of my finished page.  I pretty much followed the overall design of the sketch but sometimes this may not always be the case so no worries when your finished page doesn’t resemble the sketch.  All that really matters is you have documented your memories and had fun in the process!

I turned the single page sketch into a double page.  I use a large circle element on the left side page and continued the circle shapes on the right side but on a smaller scale.

I kept the photos to two per side in keeping with the original photo suggestion of the sketch.

Hope you are inspired to craft today!
