Today I’d like to share with you an easy way to add an extra fun element to a card. It’s a double pocket card- not one but two pockets! Perfect when you need that extra storage compartment to include a gift card or some extra personal journaling. The dimensions suggested below will make an A6 sized card but once you get the cut and fold technique you can make any size card. I used the We R Memory Keepers “Funfetti” line to make my card

Instructions:

1a. Start with a 9 x 12 inch paper
1b. Fold in half horizontal and vertically and unfold again
1c. Trim from left edge on the crease of the middle fold and into the centre

2a. Fold in top left corner so that the right edge is about 1 inch away from centre vertical crease
2b. Fold in bottom right corner so that it meets the centre vertical crease

3a. Take left side and fold over
3b. Place adhesive where shown as dark line
3c. Take bottom side up and fold flap back around card.

4a. You have just completed your double pocket card. Just add embellishments!

In my finished example, I added coordinated pattern paper mats under the upper pocket and to the inside of the card. This adds a bit of weight to the card so that it stands better.
Happy card making!

10. Use a decorative scalloped border punch to create “frosting” with white card stock. I adhered it with a liquid glue.

11. Complete the card with rub-on sentiment and paper strips to each side.

Personalize each cake with glitter and bling for a little girl, use little guy papers, or, add lace and pearls for a Grandma. The possibilities are truly endless. What a super fun card this would be to receive.

Thanks Kim!!!
