We are so excited to welcome our second guest designer this month, Jeff Lindberg, to the SCT blog! We recently heard Jeff’s amazing story about how he came into cardmaking on episode 39 of the Life Handmade podcast, and knew that we wanted to share not only his cards with you but also his fun personality! Scroll down to see what he created using our April SCT Sampler, and be sure to find out more about Jeff, and follow him at the links at the end of this post! You won’t want to miss his The Craft Hour YouTube video series, either!
Yep, I’m a dude crafter. Dudes craft too! In fact, I have made that a trending topic on social media, because I firmly believe that we are an underrepresented group of talent that I’m so eager (and thankful to be a part of!) Hi all, I’m Jeff Lindberg of Jeff Lindberg Creates and it’s my pleasure to join Scrapbook & Cards Today to share what I created with the April SCT Sampler!
It was so fun to create with this amazing sample-sized array of paper and scrapbook products, complete with an exclusive Gina K Designs stamp set!
I’m a proud leader at Disney Parks in Orlando, FL and for the past 25 years, I’ve been making magic as a theme park professional. But since 2017, I have turned to paper crafting as a source of joy, inspiration, and therapy to my high octane job!
This SCT Sampler came out during a busy schedule in April, but with a thoughtful array of paper and stamp products included, I was able to use it to create several cards for my stash! I recently shared in the Life Handmade podcast with Scrapbook.com (available now! Go listen!) that I LOVE clean and simple cards. Check out how easy it was to make a big impact with little effort!
I also had a blast incorporating one of my favorite companies into my card designs, Pinkfresh Studio! They recently added hot foil die sets to their offerings and I had a blast laying gorgeous Spellbinders foil onto the array of patterned papers found in this month’s Sampler.
I love how the patterned paper, selected from the Wonders collection assortment included in the Sampler, and foil really do all the work for you. The vibrant colors of the paper, the strength of the font with foil added just make the cards pop! Fold your paper, glue your foil job…and bam! You’re done!
Doesn’t Gina K’s stamp set make for a cherry blossom dream? You’ll see Pinkfresh Studio inks and Simon Says Stamp paper make the colors pop! I adorned the branches with the puffy sticker hearts to really bring the blossoms to life!
I get to host a show with Pinkfresh Studio on their YouTube channel called The Craft Hour, and it’s a blast. On this card, I combined their new washi tape prints, foil plates, and the April Sampler in one card. Finish this floral design off with the exclusive Gina K stamp set sentiment and we are all set to go!
I truly enjoyed creating with this sample-sized collection of products in the April SCT Sampler, and hope that I gave you some ideas for how to incorporate easy techniques into your cardmaking using the Sampler, while still keeping the process simple!
As an experienced actor for over 22 years, I recently turned my sights to connecting with makers just like you on social media. When I started Jeff Lindberg Creates, an all-encompassing online platform, I wanted to be purposeful in creating a community! A community of crafters and companies, who together, through shared talents (and lots of dialogue) can be driven to create! And perhaps along the way, create a strong fellowship to do good in this world… one paper and ink pad at a time!
You can connect with me on Instagram @MrJeffLindberg and also on my YouTube Channel, JeffLindbergCreates. There you’ll see insights ranging from my clean and simple card making projects to my passion for home decor, life with Dan, and our popular rescue muppet-pup, Hazel Harper!
