Hello everyone! This is Becky Fleck Moore from Photoplay Paper and we are so thrilled to be featured on SCT’s blog today. Although many of us are still staring at piles of snow here in the northern hemisphere, spring and Easter are just around the corner and to celebrate the upcoming change of season, I created an Easter card featuring our new Bunny Trail stamps and dies. For many years, one of my favourite sections of SCT Magazine was the “Easy, Detailed, Expert” column so I thought it would be fun to create three cards in that same way.
Easy:
For my EASY card, I stamped eight of the eggs onto Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating die. Using Gina K’s wreath builder, I stamped a grass wreath onto the center of white cardstock square using two shades of green ink.
A quick and easy way to give even the simplest card a bit of dimension is to cut additional die shapes from white cardstock, then stack and glue them together. Here, I die cut two additional eggs for each die. The grass wreath served as a great template to arrange all of the eggs in a circle.
Detailed:
For my DETAILED card, I matted the white base onto a light green cardstock and glued it to my card base with pop dots. I added white faux pen stitching around the sentiment circle and matted that onto another larger scalloped circle from the same light green cardstock.
I stamped tiny blossoms from the Element stamps set, coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I arranged the eggs the same way as I did on the Easy card using pop dots, then added a small blossom on the bottom of each one. Two small blossoms crown the top of the sentiment circle.
Expert:
For my EXPERT CARD, I stamped each egg twice and coloured them with Copic markers. I paired them together using pop dots, then added white micro fine glitter accents to the top layer of eggs.
I converted the center sentiment into a shaker circle, using the tiny blossoms to make a wreath around the outer perimeter. I dotted each blossom with Nuvo white crystal drops and added a bit more glitter.
If you would like to recreate any of these cards, you will need Photoplay’s Bunny Trail Element stamps and Egg stamps, along with the coordinating dies.
Be sure to join Photoplay Paper right here on Friday! We have a little something, something to share with one lucky reader.
Happy Spring!
