We always love the ease of starting a project with a sketch, and that’s why each issue includes several to help you get creative! Today’s challenge starts with a sketch, and continues with a gorgeous layout by Anya Lunchenko! Let’s take a look!

…………………….

Hello, memory-keeping friends! Don’t you like scrapbooking challenges? I do, especially the ones when I get to use a sketch for my layout! It’s Anya with you today and I am so excited to share my newest creation based on this 8-½ x 11-inch sketch, found on page 30 in the summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today:

Since this is my favorite format, I was instantly drawn to the design.

Supplies | Patterned paper: Simple Stories Simple Vintage Country Harvest collection, Close to My Heart, Park Lane; Stickers, enamel dots, ephemera, foam stickers: Simple Stories

I tried to stay true to the sketch but made a few minor changes along the way. I replaced one larger photo with two smaller ones and moved my title to the bottom of the layout.

To embellish the layout, I used fussy cut leaves from a patterned paper by Simple Stories and added a few other little elements like stickers and enamel dots.

This sketch is so versatile, you could create multiple layouts using the same sketch and not even be able to tell they were done with the same starting point. I hope you’re inspired to use this sketch to create this week, before an entire new round of sketches come out with our fall issue!
