Hi there, it’s Tina from Cards & Coffee Time! I’m so excited to share a card project inspired by one of the awesome sketches from the Fall/Winter 2024 Issue of SCT Magazine. This slimline sketch has this cute scalloped border and diagonal-sided floral corners—totally my cup of tea!

Instead of going for a slimline, I switched it up to an A2 card, which was super easy by stretching out the foliage in the corners. And hey, a few butterflies swooped in to fill that extra space on the card too!

Supplies | Spellbinders Woodland Tales Collection: Woodland Tales 12×12 Paper Pack, Woodland Tales Floral Etched Dies, Woodland Tales Fern Etched Dies, Woodland Tales Sentiments Etched Dies, Cardstock: Spellbinders Cardstock,Snowdrift, Terra Cotta, Dune, Fern, Mirror Gold, Sage,Scrapbook Adhesives: EZ Runner Grand, Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix, Pinkfresh Studio Full Size Ink Pads (I used, Metropolis, Olive, Candy Apple), Embellishments: Spellbinders Color Essential Gems: Gold Mix, Tools: Pinkfresh Studio 1″ Blending Brushes, Dual Tip Embellishment Tool

Today, we’re creating a fall forest look with a few items from the Spellbinders Woodland Tales Collection. I used patterned paper to emulate the scallops on the sketch and love the rustic look. Adding gray ink to the edges of the foliage tones down the whites of the flower centers and the bright color of orange used for the flowers.

I used the Spellbinders Woodland Tales Fern and the Woodland Tales Floral in the corners and the Woodland Tales 12 x 12″ patterned paper for the background and butterflies. Using an A2 card with this sketch allowed me to use extra foliage and a wider greeting! The Spellbinders Woodland Tales Sentiments have words that you can customize that are perfect for cardmaking and scrapbooking pages.

The lovely Woodland Tales Collection from Spellbinders offers a variety of products including press plates, stamps, embossing folders, and more. They are wonderful for any time of year. I hope this post has brought some inspiration to your day using SCT Magazine sketches from the Fall/Winter Issue. Wishing you a fantastic and crafty day ahead!
