Hello, Scrapbook & Cards Today Friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, and I’m so excited to share a fun Father’s Day Gift project I created using the new “Into the Wild” collection from Echo Park Paper, along with some of my favorite cut files!

Supplies | Patterned Paper, solid paper, stickers, ephemera, enamel dots: Echo Park Paper; Cardstock: Carta Bella Paper; Adhesive, Liquid Glue, and Foam Adhesive: Therm o web; Cut Files: Lori Whitlock, Pebbles In My Pocket – downloaded from the Silhouette store; Electronic Die-Cutting Machine: Silhouette Cameo; Other: Jute, twine

I know that not all dads are the same, but all of the dads in my life enjoy the outdoors—camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and anything else that involves unplugging and heading to the hills. I guess that’s why this collection seemed especially fitting for a Father’s Day gift.

I decided to create a little camper carrying a gift (instead of gear) on the top. There is probably a way to make the actual camper a gift box, but I liked the idea of adding the gift to the top.

I cut out and assembled the camper with mostly solid papers from “Into the Wild,” and then I used some patterned papers for the extra decorative pieces, like the awnings and curtains. Stickers and ephemera pieces were perfect to embellish the front of the camper and add the tags to the gift box.

I used glue dots to attach the gift box to the camper top. They could easily be removed if Dad wanted to display his personalized little trailer later (and of course he will want to!)

As far as the actual gift, I have a few ideas for filling that little cargo box on top! An “Into the Woods” mini album filled with photos of Dad doing what he loves most with the people that make him happiest would be a sweet, sentimental gift. Perhaps a gift card to his favorite outdoorsy store could fill it up. Or maybe a coupon book, filled with different adventures Dad can choose and experience throughout the summer. Some little treats would also fit nicely. Or all of the above—after all, Dad deserves the best!

Do you have plans to make a crafty gift for any of the dads in your life? I’d love to hear about your projects!

Have a happy, crafty day!
