Welcome back to our 8th cut file freebie this year – this one is all about circles – one of my favorite page elements. Something so easy to use, on virtually any type of project! Here is what this month’s free cut file looks like:

This month I have invited Nicole Martel, a talented contributor from our Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Reader’s Spring 2015 gallery, to join us!

I asked her to use the cut file in any way she wanted, on any type of project, and check out the amazing page she sent me.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned Paper, Stickers: Enamel dots: Bella Blvd., Star jewels: Freckled Fawn, Stamps: Chickaniddy Crafts (circle and stars), Mommy Lhey (happy), Hero Arts (cloud and sun), Watercolor paints: Royal & Langnickel, Pen: Marvy, Mini stapler: Tim Holtz

I think it is awesome how Nicole incorporated the watercolor paints to her cut image!! So smart and a great effect on the page.  Here is what Nicole had to say about her page:

"As soon as I saw the cut files, I knew I'd be able to create something fun with them. I LOVE circles and the cuts files were perfect for what I had in mind. I decided to cut the "arrow and hello circle" from white cardstock. Then I used my Stampin'Up Aqua Pen and watercolors to alter the cardstock. I love that the cuts can go with a variety of themes."

I have always been a big fan of using circles on my pages and also used the “hello”circle as well as the ring circle in the cut file. I chose to use the ring cut from several different patterns of paper to create a grid and added the HELLO one as part of my title. Last minute, I added the leftover inside of the rings to each of the rings, tilting the paper pattern slightly in each ring.

You can see that I layered the sun shape with various different papers and stitched them together, adding some wood buttons to add some sparkle to the center.
