Happy Canada to our Scrapbook & Cards Today readers and Happy (early) 4th to our American friends! I am excited to be here this holiday Tuesday in Canada with this month’s fun freebie make just for you!
Today’s cut file is a background that can be filled with as many, or as little papers as you wish, or use it as a stencil, use both the negative or positive shapes to make floral elements … or anything else you can dream up.

I went a little patterned paper crazy with my page, but when I created this file, I imagined a watercolor paper in behind it… you have a lot of options with this file – I hope you are inspired in a few different ways to use it!
Supplies: Patterned paper, stickers, Foam alphas, Wood Veneers (American Crafts) ,Chipboard Stars (Studio Calico), Stickers (Simple Stories); Cardstock (American Crafts); Arrow paperclip (Webster’s Pages)
I started off my diecutting the background out of simple white cardstock and then layered a lot of paper triangles in behind the negative space. I added some punched circles and a whole lot of stitching to lay it all down nicely.
Because I added so many different patterns of paper, I kept the embellishments smaller and sparse so the page wouldn’t be too cluttered and used 2 larger photos so they didn’t get lost with all that colour going on!
I hope you are inspired in a few different ways with this one!! See you next month with another fun one!
