Free cut file from designer Nicole Nowosad!

Good morning Scrapbook & Cards Today readers! I am always excited to be on the blog on the first Tuesday of each month to share my newest cut files, created just for our readers and fans.  Today’s freebie is inspired by summer, road trips, adventures… and brush script!   Check it out:

  Summer phrases freebie

I don’t know about you, but after the winter we had here in the prairies, I am ready for summer. Bring on the beach, lemonade, bike rides and ice cream!  I used this freebie in a very basic way on my page here:

  Daydream

Supplies: Patterned paper, Chipboard Frames, Vellum, Die Cut Shapes (Crate Paper), Chipboard Stars (Studio Calico), Stickers (Simple Stories); Cardstock (American Crafts); Mini Clothepins (Pebbles Inc.), Twine (Stampin’ Up), Wood Veneers (Studio Calico, Scraptastic Kit Club), Flair (Evalicious), Enamel Dots (My Mind’s Eye)

I stared by diecutting the phrases out of paper from a Crate Paper 6×6 paper pad – The Pier. I layered them over other papers and cardstock.

Daydream cl1

  Daydream cl2

I finished off my page with lots of diecuts and embellishments from The Pier line along with natural wood veneer shapes that are perfect for summer photos.   Although you could use the negative space of the shape like I did, you can also use the cut out words instead – or both!

I hope you enjoy this fun freebie!

Yes, Summer has FINALLY arrived! Yesterday I was watching TV and sweating glitter so I decided to go get my fan out of my craft room. I got in there and got distracted by a project I wanted to try and here I am 24 hours later sweating more glitter thinking I need to go get my fan. It will probably end the same way yesterday did, me getting distracted by a project that just needs to get out into the world. LOL

Anybody out there that would be willing to convert these .studio files to svg files? I would be willing to pay and probably a few others would, also.

So what kind of machine would I need to use files like these? I keep sseeing all these great cutting files but I have an old Cricut and I can’t use them. What would I have to upgrade to?

I feel your pain Steph! But I have a silhouette cameo and I haven’t been able to figure out how to use the cut files either. Wish I could have a computer guru come spend just a day with me and teach me how to do all this fun stuff!
