Well, it’s that time of the month again – its cut file freebie day! I really need a catchy title for it… anyone help me out?? :)

Here is what this month’s freebie looks like:

This month, I have invited Marcia Dehn-Nix, a talented contributor from our Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine Reader’s Gallery!  Marcia was featured in our Spring 2015 Reader’s Gallery.

I asked her to use the cut file in any way she wanted, on any type of project, and check out the amazing page she sent me.

Supply List: Pattern Paper, Chipboard Stickers, Frames: Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss; Cardstock: Bazzill; Wooden Triangles: Pinkfresh Studios; Flamingo die cut: Top Dog Dies; Brother Sewing Machine; Gold thread; Xyron Adhesive; Silhouette Cameo; Silhouette Gold Sketch pen; watercolors

I just love all the details in Marcia’s page and how cool is it that she used her sketch pens with the digi file! Here is what Marcia had to say about her page:

"I just loved those happy/sad faces in the cut file and really wanted to use them with some photos from my daughter's wedding. Just a note for you mothers of young kids, it doesn't get any easier to get a decent photo when they are older. I finally got a decent photo, but there are lots more like these. I love these though, as it really shows their personalities. Instead of cutting out the faces, I decided to use my gold sketch pen in my Silhouette. First I removed the outer circle from the cut file. Then I had some fun with my watercolors. The "Today" made for a great title and I even managed to include the "Noted: and a File Folder Tab. Thanks for having me as a guest designer Scrapbook & Cards Today!"

Although this month’s freebie is perfect for all those planner junkies out there, it is perfect for scrapbook pages too. And how funny is it that both Marcia and I chose to do layouts with the cut file! As always, I played along with the freebie too. Here is what I created this month:

Hello eight

Supplies: Patterned paper -  Pebbles Inc.; Alphas: American Crafts; Manila Tag; Chipboard: Crate Paper, Simple Stories

I chose to use the tabs to create a border for my page and the ‘hello’ for my title! Easy peasy for me this month!
