Free cut file Tuesday with Nicole Nowosad!

Good morning SCT cut file friends! I am excited to share this month's freebie file with you. It is one of my new favorites, and I hope it will be one of yours too!

I have asked the talented Nathalie DaSousa to join me on the blog today using this freebie. Check out what she created:

Here is what she had to say about her project:

May is the month to celebrate Mothers and Spring. With this in mind, I chose to enlarge the cut file to document a picture of my sister and nephew -a few days after he was born-. The choice of leaving the top corner of the picture outside of the ring brings attention to the beautiful light that surrounds their tender embrace, and leaves space to add some extra embellishments to the page. To emphasize the relationship between a mother and son, I chose to use the yellow, green, blue and teal colors in the new Simple Stories’ Faith collection. I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day!!

Supplies: Patterned paper, diecuts – Simple Stories; acrylic word – Bella Blvd.

I couldn't wait for the change to play with this cut file and this is what I created:

You can see that I resized the cut file to about 6" and used multiple designs stacked on top of each other. I cut it from white cardstock so I could fill it in with several pretty bold patterns of paper. Paired with a paler background, the effect is pure prettiness!

Are you sure these are svg files? Because when I open them, there are no cutlines, just a jpeg in an svg file. (The dxf file contains nothing as far as I can tell.)
