Happy Friday, SCT friends!!! Has another week really passed us? Is time flying for you the way it is for us around here? What is one thing you accomplished this week? It could be sitting down to create a project you’ve been wanting to, it could be catching with a friend, it simply might be you cooked a dinner this week. And hooray for that! Tell us in the comments what you’ve been up to this week. We always love to hear!
This week we were busy and in many different directions. Online class prep, the winter issue is in for design and we are getting ready for our next events. Today as we were preparing to send off two large pallets to our Crop & Create Saskatoon event, we came across an extra collection in our box from our friends at Simple Stories. We just had to share it with one lucky reader today! Feast your eyes on this…
“The beauty and wonder of Christmas are all wrapped up in the Simple Vintage Collection by Simple Stories. This seasonal collection is designed by artist Katie Pertiet and showcases her beautiful vintage artwork of Christmas trees, holly, mistletoe, Santa, lace and so much more. You will particularly want to pay attention to the new number tag embellishments that include numbers 1 through 31 that are perfect for an advent calendar or documenting your December daily festivities.”
Isn’t it gorgeous? Does it need a home in your craft space? For an opportunity to win this collection from Simple Stories, be sure to comment on what you did this week OR something you hope to accomplish next week. Leave your comment by Thursday, November 1st. Good luck!
And from all of us here at SCT, have a great weekend!

Maybe next week….good luck everybody and thanks to SCT!

Thanks SCT and SS!
I have spent the last few months getting all my paperwork together to give to my lawyer so that I can divorce the dirty dog who I have been married to for 28 years. He can go find another mistress who is 18 years younger than he is and cheat on her instead of on me! I have MUCH better things to do than worry about that stuff! As the saying goes, I would rather be crafting! 😁🤩😁

I love this new collection! I love vintage Christmas. This would be great for making cards and pages! The last couple of weeks I’ve been working on a mini album for a friend’s birthday gift. He just turned a year old so I’m doing her a “Nana’s 1st Year” mini album. I can’t wait to give it to her!

Love this collection. it’s so fun, colorful and traditional. One of my favorites. It’s been a long haul this year recovering from major surgery, but my biggest accomplishment this past week was cooking, pureeing, and freezing 60 pounds of pumpkin for soup, pies and breads and from 25 pounds of tomatoes, I also canned spaghetti and cocktail sauce for Christmas Presents. YAY!!!!! Great week for me. Thanks for a chance.
This past week was spent busily putting the finishing touches on a birthday party we gave last night for my Mom’s 90th birthday!! I contacted everyone from her 93 yr. old brother, all the hairdressers at her salon, her neighbors, her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, church friends, women in her Medical Wives group, etc., to ask them to write her a note. These notes included their memories of her, the impact she made on their lives, the service she lovingly gave (she once followed a man across town after she heard someone at the food pantry tell him that they did not have any cheese to give him…just so she could give him a large block of Tillamook cheese!!), appreciation for what she did for disabled people in our community (my oldest sister had Down Syndrome), etc. I compiled these letters into a scrapbook for her, and it turned out that it was a gift to ME…to be reminded of how lucky I’ve been to have HER as my mother! Tomorrow I am headed to the mountains…Eden, Utah, to scrapbook for the next few days with a group of girls I’ve been scrapbooking with for 20 years!! Wahoo!! That collection from Simple Stories is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I would absolutely love to create with it!!!
