Hello, SCT friends! It’s Allison Davis here with a super fun design idea using the Bella Blvd Teen Vibe: Carson collection. I’ve had these photos of my youngest son, Jackson, admiring a pepperoni pizza sitting on my table for a very long time just waiting for the perfect opportunity and idea to come along. The instant I saw this Bella Blvd. collection, an idea lit up like a light bulb in my brain. I love it when the perfect collection comes along for those special photos that you’ve been holding onto!

I really wanted to go pizza-heavy with the design to match Jackson’s love for pepperoni pizza so I created a large pizza background with lots of pepperoni.

I started by cutting three large circles on my Silhouette. The first largest circle is out of brown paper for the crust, the second circle is out of orange for the sauce, and the third is out of yellow patterned paper for the cheese. Then for my pepperoni toppings, I cut several small circles out of red patterned paper.

To accent the pizza background I created a large cluster detail along the bottom left edge and then a smaller cluster on the top right edge.

I used a combination of elements from the Bella Blvd Teen Vibe: Carson collection and arranged them together to form the clusters. There are pizzas, hearts, stars, a soda, and skulls. I used a lot of foam adhesive too, to add dimension and interest to the design.

This ended up being such a fun layout to create! I always love it when the opportunity arises to go theme-extreme and incorporate the theme into the actual design of the layout. And, a great thing about this design: it can be adapted to other foods as well! Pies and cakes would make a really cute background with this concept and pumpkin pie season is right around the corner!
